Stoneybrook is one of the farms of the Spiritual Commonwealth of Israel. We are a people who live together as the first disciples did in the book of Acts chapters 2 and 4 in the bible. The disciples cared for each other’s needs. One of the needs we have is the need for goat milk, cheese and yogurt. This is our main purpose for keeping goats along with the opportunity to raise our children to learn to have care for living creatures. This instills values that are being lost in society these days.
Our herd is managed by Karen Land McShane who grew up with dairy goats on Lady Bug Farm. We choose not to show our animals, but are very mindful of confirmation and breeding up. As of yet, we have not participated in DHIR or Linear Appraisal, but are considering doing so in the future to help validate the quality of our goats. Our website is young in its development, and we hope to add more as time goes on. This last spring we were able to purchase some does and two bucks from Cherry Glen Farm in Boyds Maryland. We are excitedly looking forward to kidding season. We hope you enjoy our site.
